Do you think Alt would be more succesful and attract real people if it was free with a voluntary fee |

Ive been on this site since 1999, so 23 years. They had a program called IceBreakers for years, it granted single women with photos and accounts that were opened for at least 3 weeks free gold upgrade. they would send out icebreaker messages to new members who matched their Cupid list They stopped the program about 2 years ago and gave me one last free year as a good will gesture for having been a member for so long. But, i did advise them I’d never pay for the service and most women will not pay for this service and that will decrease the number of quality women available to the paying members. So, i log on every now and then, and occasionally upload a few new photos. But, since i cant read profiles, I rarely interact with anyone

If this site were 100% free, it really wouldn't change the overall functionality and the quality of real users versus scammers. In fact, the site would have tons of ads. I don't think anyone would have the tolerance to sit through a 30 second ad or a series of four thirty second ads before viewing profiles.

Colllarme.com was free. Fetster.com is free. Recon.com is free. Alt.com cost me twenty bucks a month. I don't get many Mistresses and realized that if it was free I would get more Mistresses who could see me.

It also need to ban the scammers ips that saying they are in the country but really from thier. Women use to be free but they should allow people to look at profiles atleast have few messages per day like they use to. The price has been bet high since forever maybe just I feel if they want get it going some sites only 5 to 6 dollars. I use to pay for old put some people don’t respect even if you are gold.

In my opinion, the most valuable part is still free, which is blogs. Only here and not on the chat you can meet people who share their true emotions.

What do you see active Lately on this site other than a bunch of Old People in the chats talking about Gardening and Food. Then Read the blogs, No more active bloggers posting any Real Time dynamic's. Yeah why waste your money. They should charge them for using their Chats and Blogs. When it's free it becomes a huge Lost.

Alt does care it all about the money I have use this site on and off for over 20 yrs and the Scammers have completely taken over the site i was recieve over100 messages all profiles are fake all ask for gift cards or money running the sweetheart scam. This is the worse i have ever seen it.Alt needs to but something in Place to verfity The people other then the fucking credit card and not charge the people who are real to be verifty

Site full of fake/scammers and alt doesn't care because they put their money up-front. Hard to imagine so many of them have so much money to burn.

Simply put it should be made harder to join the site by way increased security protocols. But ALT should also upgrade it's own security to prevent or at least minimise the chance of hackers breaking in again. I have been on this site just on 15 years, and there has been 3 hacks that I know of. If they want us to pay, then make the place safer for our details first.

The key is that there must be some kind of quality control as it were. Requiring a driver's license or some other ID would help. Or the ALT admins could do the same Image searches members we do and quickly find the stolen profiles. And as we, the members, find fakes, we must report them and get them off site. As it is, the wonder is not that you find a fake, but that you find someone who isn't,

I don't object to paying a subscription, however, I stopped doing so when I became aware that women were given free gold accounts, that was some years ago now and things may have changed. That notwithstanding, I now have a reduced income and my Covid wrecked finances do not allow me to pay the current fee. Good enough is not good enough; try again, and try harder!

To weed out the fake accounts everyone needs to be verified. Submitting your drivers license and picture would put an end to it. There are successful sites that your free to communicate on like fetlife for example. If you want to view videos, you need to pay a subscription and many do to support it and keep it free. Their community is growing by the day. Another option for revenue is ads. Look at Facebook for example. There is not subscription and they are a giant in social media, so they are proof it can work. Even Facebook has fake accounts, but that can be eliminated by getting verified.

Do you think Alt would be more successful and attract real people if it was free with a voluntary fee I think that in order for ALT to become more successful, the site needs to figure out what it is here for. Personals……. We joined hoping to chat with and meet people with similar interests, fetishes and outlooks and if that is the purpose of the site it fails massively. The site does not attract enough members and ones that do join leave very quickly because the site (not the members) is confusing, frustrating and unwelcoming. As a paying member I would expect that our profile could be viewed by “all” other members, it cannot. I would expect that if I messaged a member, free or otherwise, they should be able to read the message and reply if they wish to do so, they cannot always. I would expect to see that my messages were received and be informed when they were read, I cannot unless I purchase a further addon. I can send a gift to a complete stranger I have not spoken with to allow this to happen. Use a points system it is very difficult to find information for and no one truly understands or if I have run out of points I can purchase some…..on top of my membership fee which is a waste of money anyway…. Added to that there are so few members within 200 miles of where we live, many of those members are looking for different things and not a couple, of the ones who are looking for a couple many of our interests do not align and of the remaining half dozen or so, three are owned, two are called Jeremy and the sixth one passed away without cancelling their membership. Maybe it it isn’t personals? Maybe the Magazine and blogs are its mainstay and attraction? Really? I regularly post on the Blog and have hundreds of views. I regularly post stories, articles, have posted Poems and other things. Some get no views, some get lots of views, every now and again someone will vote (but its rare) and even more rare someone might comment. If they are what te site is about, it fails massively there too. Maybe it’s the IM? The IM works sometimes and doesn’t work sometimes. When it does work I get messages from people who have not read our profile and want to know if Belle likes younger cocks, If I want to suck their cock or if I want to show them my cock….You three know who you are…. And if I am chatting to more than one person I have to have different windows open for each conversation and it is so easy to miss or lose a message. Added to that many members run out of points and cannot chat there anyway. Another fail. So what is the answer? Introduce verification for all members. Introduce a fee that gives you access to the whole site, stop trying to pick the pockets of your paying members, fix the bugs in the IM, make the interface more user friendly and put long term profit before short term profit because if you don’t, there will be no one left to pay fees at all. And in case you were wondering, when our year is up, were leaving unless some drastic improvements are made that bring more members here and allow us to interact. Hugs X

This site is infested with scammers, frauds, liars and kiddie game players!! Oh and there's the social media twits that just like to collect friends like the little children that collect coloured marbles! This site is a joke! I'm not renewing my membership here!

It would allow scammers to create even more accounts. They can already create multiple accounts on multiple websites. Free would allow them to create so many accounts that finding a real partner would be practically impossible.

The scammers and fakes would increase with at voluntary fee, because they wouldn't pay it. I doubt there is a way to get more real people. Charge a required fee and you decide on an amount that won't drive really interested people away and will still be high enough that most scammers and fakes won't pay it. But then the total number of people might go down overall. THought they mioght be more likely to be active. Jayne

Having a little bit of a barrier to sign up closes the door to some scammers. Good Chat in app and good reporting/policing are what is needed to improve this or a similar site. Responsive, uncensored chat that eliminates any suggestion to go off site, then good reporting tools when people are scammers, and quick review and restriction of reported scammers.

Fortunately, ALT is the way it is, with many fraud & scam filters built in, for free members. The best filter is the ALT I.Q. test -- if you are not smart enough to figure out how to get things done for free, then you are insufficiently interested in me, you are insufficiently motivated to invest your time to actually communicate with me, you are lethargic, and you are unworthy of my time. I did not vote, because i dont know. i think, monitoring this site, more, could make a difference.... But, just like fet, the owner there, let all kind of dangerous folks on the site, creating groups like predators, if you read their profiles, it is one big violation of anything SM, or D/s orientated.... and the money making girls, too... ofcourse, like they are here, too

It might be possible if Alt decided to allow ads. But then we'd have to fight our way through hundreds of pop-up windows every time we signed on. And most of those would be from porno-scam sites. Dream on. in a year the most people i've seen online is 82. theres a reason why its all old men here cybering...young people see through the fake profiles straight away and leave. you rarely see a real female on here yet in fab the chat rooms are full to capacuty most of the time people will voluntariy contribute to genuine and real
